Homewood Disposal has been servicing the south suburban area for more than 50 years. A family owned business since 1956, Homewood Disposal has strived to serve surrounding communities with the very best in waste disposal needs as well as customer satisfaction. The company has grown from a small scavenger company to a full range solid waste collection, transportation, recycling, and disposal service company.

In addition, Homewood Disposal also provides street sweeping, special waste hauling, curbside recycling, commercial recycling, and a state-of-the-art material recovery facility. Recycling is an important part of the disposal business today and Homewood Disposal is heavily involved with processing more than 95,000 tons annually.

Collectively with our sister companies NuWay Disposal, Star Disposal, Tinley Park Disposal, Kankakee Sanitary, A&J Disposal, Diversified Recycling, and At Your Disposal, we now have over 500 employees and a fleet of 200 trucks to service our customers.

Recently Homewood Disposal entered into a business partnership with Service Sanitation, Inc., who is Chicagoland’s premier portable restroom service provider. Service Sanitation is a progressive organization providing a variety of sanitation solutions and services, which contribute to a healthy and safe environment.

As the business environment has changed due to increased competition, greater public awareness and governmental regulation, Homewood Disposal is proud of its history and ability to remain in the forefront of this increasingly complex industry. All of this has been made possible by the integrity and hard work of the high quality individuals that make up the Homewood Disposal family of employees; a family that has grown twelve fold since 1984.

Homewood Disposal Services, Inc. is involved in local Chamber of Commerce activities in many of the communities it services. We are also involved in the planning and development of municipal waste handling programs. Homewood Disposal financially supports many local organizations and charities, resulting from its belief of giving back to the local communities. Homewood Disposal is a Premier Sponsor of the Chicago Southland Chamber of Commerce, recognizing the importance of the region as a whole.
